Belgrade military parade

Following up on a previous story about Military parade held in Belgrade on 16th of October.

Like all things in Serbia, the military parade was a mixed bag. Controversial from the beginning, prepared in rush, held on a weird date (during the WWII Belgrade was liberated on 20th, not 16th) and the day itself turned out to be totally weird weather-wise. If you discard the crowd and 10.000 people trying to get in through three small entrances, no place you can stand to see the parade, the sun and showers at the same time, followed by the craziest sky and rainbow, getting all wet, standing in the mud, the parade itself was really nice.

The military performed exceptionally well, showing all things this small country has from navy, artillery, to aircraft… and Russian Strizhi for which I can just say wow… There are probably better blogs that covered in detail what was going on… probably much better photos of soldiers, mechanics, and all… I managed to capture a couple of interesting moments, people of Serbia that enthusiastically stood there on rain and in the mud.

I understand the kids… I was same at their age… I don’t understand the girl how she managed to stay all clean and tidy 😀

Enjoy
